SA 268 TP 405 boiler tubes are manufactured from the ferritic stainless steel material that is mainly suited to the production of heat exchanging equipment, boilers, tubes, and condensers in elevated temperature operations. TP 405 is a stainless steel 405 which offers high resistance to oxidation and appreciable high temperature corrosion. This also possess nice features in weldability and formability and therefore can be used in steam and high pressure zones.

The 405 stainless steel seamless tube is capable of resisting high temperature and it shows marginal corrosion resistance. The tubes do not have any weak seams like welded tube, and thus it is stronger and offer better leakage projection.

The UNS S40500 Cold Drawn Seamless Tube is used for annealing boxes, quenching racks, partitions, steam nozzles, and other fabrications that cannot be annealed after the welding procedure. The seamless 405 tubes can be used in chemical plants.
