ASTM B407 (ASME SB-407) pipes/tubes are nickel-iron-chromium alloys (like Incoloy 800, 800H/HT) known for high strength and corrosion resistance in extreme temperatures, used in power, chemical, and petrochemical industries, with N08800 being general purpose and N08810/N08811 offering enhanced creep strength for higher temps, available seamless or welded.
Standards & Grades
- Standard: ASTM B407 (American Society for Testing and Materials) and ASME SB-407 (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) specify requirements for seamless nickel-iron-chromium alloy pipes and tubes.
- UNS N08800 (Alloy 800): General purpose, good for high temps up to ~593°C (1100°F).
- UNS N08810 (Alloy 800H) & N08811 (Alloy 800HT): Higher carbon versions with improved creep & rupture strength for service above 593°C, essential for high-temp applications.
