Stainless Steel 321H Pipe is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel designed to operate at high carbon levels (0.04% to 0.10%) to provide higher creep resistance and strength at high service temperatures (800 °F to 1500 °F / 427 °C to 816 °C). The SS ERW Pipe 321H is manufactured through electric resistance welding of high-quality stainless steel strips. It does not suffer from post-weld sensitisation or intergranular corrosion, making it highly suitable for heavy-duty exhausts, manifolds, petroleum refining, and boiler applications.
The 321H Stainless Steel ERW Pipe features excellent mechanical properties, high tensile strength, and toughness. The titanium addition stabilizes the steel against chromium carbide precipitation during welding, which prevents corrosion under high temperatures. It is widely preferred in various engineering, structural, and critical temperature environments.
The ASTM A312 TP321H Pipe offers a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa. The ERW pipes can be elongated by up to 40% while maintaining superior mechanical integrity. The SS UNS S32109 Pipe can be customized in round, square, and rectangular forms as per specific pressure and structural demands.

SS ERW Pipe 321H is a welded stainless steel pipe made from 321H grade austenitic stainless steel and manufactured using Electric Resistance Welding (ERW). It is stabilized with titanium and has a higher carbon content (0.04-0.10%) to provide improved high-temperature strength and creep resistance.
The primary difference is the carbon content. SS 321 has a maximum carbon limit of 0.08%, whereas SS 321H contains carbon in the range of 0.04% to 0.10%. The higher carbon content in 321H results in superior creep strength and elevated temperature performance compared to 321.
SS 321H has the UNS designation S32109 and Werkstoff Nr. designation 1.4878 (DIN/EN equivalent equivalent to X6CrNiTi18-10).
Because of its high-temperature strength and creep resistance, SS 321H is widely used in petroleum refineries, boiler tubes, high-pressure steam pipes, heavy-duty exhaust manifolds, and power generation plants.
